Although it took us more than a day to get there (- only - one might say) it was definately worth the effort. To cover the linear distance of a little more than 16.000 km / around 10.000 miles we had to fly Munich - London - Los Angeles - Papeete. Just to demonstrate how far it is: the trip wouldn't have been any longer if we would have traveled east via Kuala Lumpur...
